The city of Silvi, known abroad for the manufacturing of liquorice, offers 7 km of beautiful sandy shores.
Besides sunbathing on the golden beach of Silvi Marina, you can have a walk on the narrow streets of the medieval village of Silvi Alta, the ancient Castrum Silvi, where you can enjoy a wonderful landscape, admiring the beach on one side and Gran Sasso mountains on the other side.

In the old town centre there is the church “Chiesa Madre” with a bell tower which is still intact despite the centuries. Near here you can also find St. Salvatore Church dating back to the XI century with frescoes of the XII century and a bell tower of the XVIII century. In Silvi Marina as well there are some old buildings such as the wonderful villas dating back to the XIX century.
The hills near the city are characterized by the cultivation of olives and grapes used to make a healthy oil and a fine wine.
