Press conference on “The Park of Tomorrow”

On Friday 17 September 2010, at 11.00 am, a press conference will be held in the blue hall of Abruzzo Region headquarters (viale Bovio, Pescara) to introduce the next event “The Park of Tomorrow”, planned for Thursday 23  and Friday 24 September 2010 in the ancient tower "Torre di  Cerrano" in Pineto . The event program includes conferences, workshops and suggestions for the Marine Protected Area “Torre del Cerrano”.

All members of the board of directors of the MPA Management Association will take part, among others, in the presentation meeting:

Benigno D’Orazio (president)

Enzo Costantini (vice-president)

Emiliano Di Matteo (representing  the Region of Abruzzo)

Orazio Di Febo (representing the Province of Teramo)

Carlo Ciferni, Sergio Mazzone (representing the Municipality of Silvi)

Marco Verticelli, Giorgio Parisse  (representing the Municipality of Pineto)

Fabio Vallarola (representing the Environmental Associations)

The future of the Marine Protected Area, its natural environment, the story of the tower and of  the harbor of Cerrano, the nomination of the area for Unesco World Heritage site: these are some of the topics that will be discussed during the meeting in the presence of  various political and civil authorities. The complete programme will be explained in every part during the presentation meeting.

On Friday 24 at 9.00 pm, the wonderful Tower will be the setting for a dinner party with tradional local dishes and a concert of “Neri per Caso” (reservation required).
