During the meeting “The Park of Tomorrow” held in Torre Cerrano last Friday, the President of the Regional Council of Abruzzo, Nazario Pagano, expressed great satisfaction with the nomination of Atri-Cerrano area for UNESCO World Heritage site and with its enrolment in the World Heritage List. He also stated that Abruzzo Region will support the project.

On Friday 17 September 2010, at 11.00 am, a press conference will be held in the blue hall of Abruzzo Region headquarters (viale Bovio, Pescara) to introduce the next event “The Park of Tomorrow”, planned for Thursday 23  and Friday 24 September 2010 in the ancient tower "Torre di  Cerrano" in Pineto . The event program includes conferences, workshops and suggestions for the Marine Protected Area “Torre del Cerrano”.

Yesterday 1 September, senator Giovanni Legnini spent a whole morning in the Marine Protected Area “Torre del Cerrano”. The tour started with a pleasant walk among the sand dunes and ended in the ancient tower “Torre di Cerrano”.

A few days ago, the MPA board of directors visited the Marine Protected Area and Natural Reserve of “Torre Guaceto” in Serranova di Carovigno (BR).

“Pineto for the Environment” is a public meeting organized in “Catucci” pinewood on 9-15 August, by the Committee of via Liguria. During the meeting,  MP Gianfranco ROTONDI invited the Marine Protected Area to join other similar organizations in the ministerial department with the task of discussing  and evaluating environmental problems.
